The Liberty Memorial's Eternal Flame Will Remain Lit For At Least Another Year!
- Live from the "Save the Flame" event rally, we speak with some of the very generous individuals responsible for relighting the Eternal Flame atop the Liberty Memorial at the National WWI Museum in Kansas City.
-Brian Alexander,President and CEO of the National WWI Museum, speaks with us about the importance of keeping this national symbol burning.
- Jeannie Carlson, a neighbor to the The Liberty Memorial, realized the Eternal Flame had been extinguished one evening and decided something had to be done. She tells us her story.
- Thomas H. Holcom, President of Pioneer Services, explains why his company offered to match donations up to $25,500 to help keep the Flame burning.
- Carl J. DiCapo, Chairman of the Development Committee and past President of the Liberty Memorial, talks about the unexpected donation he received at the rally.
- Kristine Krausse, Community Relations Specialist with Lockton Companies, describes the overwhelming response from her organization's employees to support the project.
